I use Cobra Reflexes if for no other reason than having max talents in Frenzy, with the idea that more hits = more chances to crit = damage bonus from Frenzy coming into play more often.
As far as avoidance, I haven’t really had much experience in a raid environment where AoEs are such a common thing that I’d invest the training points to mitigate the damage. As it is, I’ve got another 100k xp or so before my pet hits level 70 and then I get to take a look at my final pool of training points and decide where I want them to go for solo play/instances.
Pets are cheap to respec, so I think if I knew I was heading into an instance/raid scenario I’d put Avoidance ahead of Cobra Reflexes in terms of priority. My pet might not be able to tank much in tough encounters, but he can still add a little extra damage as long as he’s alive.-I tink I made an angry poo-poo!
My ZAM Journal featuring my 2010 Custom PC Build BlogMy question: What is your opinion on Avoidance and Cobra Reflexes instead of +stam or +armor? If you don’t know what they are, here are their descriptions:

Cobra Reflexes
Attack speed increased by 30, but damage done is reduced.

Thanks!
