Subscribe to the BlogWell being an Orc myself (and coming from a pvp server), my opinion may not matter to much to you, but I'll give my say anyway.
Draenei
- +5 JC
- Gift of the Naaru: Healing over time
- +1 to hit with spells or attacks (dependant on class)
- +10 Shadow Resist
I personally would love to have my own HoT. It would definately decrease downtime and save me on a few bandages. I think lvling would be just a little faster because of this ability. Not to mention if you want a Jewelcrafter this would be the perfect pick, since they already start with +5.
Night Elf
- Shadowmeld: Able to stealth when out of combat
- +1 Dodge
- Move faster while trying to reach your corpse
- +10 Nature Resist
I personally think there are to many Night Elf's in the world. Before the patch that changed the Shadowmelding Aimed shot, they were definately the pick of the liter between Night Elf and Dwarf. I wouldn't mind Shadowmeld myself, but when it comes down to preference, I would definately prefer a Draenei over a Night Elf.
Since you aren't on a pvp server it's really up to you what you choose. Both have their pro's and con's, but it really comes down to if you want a HoT or Shadowmeld. Shadowmeld will definately help if you need to go AFK, but won't save you all the time. On a pvp server I could see this as being more useful, but otherwise not so much. The Gift of the Naaru can be helpful in any situation though.
Just my 2 cents, I'd pick Draenei if I decided to go alliance

If you stopped comparing yourself to others, do you think you would enjoy life more?OK after getting my BE hunter to 61 on a PVP server on Skullcrusher, I realized that... I can't handle pvp servers... I guess, I'm a puss or something, but when 6 70 rogues are camping all around Thrallmar so you can't even get out for 3 days straight... you just don't want to play anymore... I went back to my PVE alliance druid got it to 70, picked up a nice guild got some epics some peices of epic marshals etc. but, It's not as fun as my hunter -.- So I decided to take my BE and transfer it to another server... turns out it was a terrible mistake because on alexstraze the 60-65 range is practically a ghost town most of the time... and now I can't try out another for 3 months.
Well, I play my druid on the Argent Dawn server, I have alot friends and I know the low 60 community is thriving there... so I think I want to re-roll an Alliance hunter... my problem is, I can't decide if I want to roll NE or draenei... I know I'm going to go BM spec for sure. But should I roll draenei for the oh sht heal and bonus to hit, or NE for the Stealth/prowl combo... hmmm
I just want to here everyone else's opinion on the matter. Maybe it'll help me resolve my indecision... I'm really hopeless at deciding these things on my own so give a person a break and give me your - 70 NE druid Feral Argent Dawn
